Spring CAD (TM) is a knowledge based program for designing mechanical springs.
Types of springs that can be designed:
- Compression, including barrel, conical and hour-glass
- Extension, with a variety of hooks
- Helical Torsion, including numerous end styles.
- Solid Torsion, including rectangular and hollow solid type
- Beam, including shaped ends and the 'rolling radius' type
A variety of input choices can be selected according to an Input Matrix. Calculations follow industry standard practices, use standard materials (or your own) and you can be alerted if the design is falling outside norms. Also standard tolerances can be applied and a Drawing automatically generated for you to send to a manufacturer!
Now for the first time you can fully explore trade-offs with new designs. Many spring types are not covered in standard manufacturer's catalogs. Spring CAD(TM) solves the design first saving a lot of back-and-forth time before completing a specification.
Download the full version of Spring CAD (TM) for evaluation. All functionality of the Beam spring design is present and you can explore the other spring types but not perform computations.
